John has a diverse real estate career with over 30 years in transaction, consulting, research and relationship management roles across the GCC, North America, UK, Europe and Africa. He has been involved in the Saudi property market since 2008 when he moved to Riyadh from London to set up JLL’s operations for the Kingdom. At DIFC in 2013-14 he was responsible for assets generating annual revenue of $145m, including offices, retail, parking, and events venues. His commercial team delivered performance of 7% above budget in 2014. John managed the retail leasing team and directly negotiated deals with Zuma, La Petite Maison, Tortora, Cipriani, Roberto’s, Pret To Go, and many others.
